1 Cale St, Chelsea, London SW3 3QT
On the corner of Chelsea green just off the King’s Road there is a little understated but intriguing scene which is cinquencento. You step up to the entrance, the smells and the sight of the sizable domed pizza oven hit you right away. A friendly greeting and you are taken to your seats, you are on the way you are hit by the classical style. Grayscale toned walls and counterpoised by the dark wood furniture, hanging greenery and vivid peppers.
Symphony movement between the pizza chefs and the waitress between the pizza making and the waitress placing finishing touches complete this masterpiece.
I had the calabria pizza which had all the hallmarks of a well made pizza. Deep flavoured toppings and crispy yet light base. Accompanied by a glass of white wine and a Negroni Sbagliato made for a great way to end the week.
The pizza was fast tasty and the vibrant atmosphere and definitely a place one should check out if in the area.
