The first London restaurant for acclaimed restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson, Red Rooster is Shoreditch’s version of the Harlem fried chicken institution. Set in a low-lit casual setting, designed around a central bar, Red Rooster is anything but pretentious. The decor is as eclectic as the music, so expect everything from Gospel to Blues with hints of Scandinavia.
Samuellson has created a diverse menu for every occasion, which can easily be scaled up depending on the number of diners.
Kick off with the homemade Cornbread with miso and sweet honey, as well as the Guac and Chips. The coconut yoghurt gives this classic an extra twist! The Yellowtail Kitfo (Sashimi / Peruvian tiradito hybrid) is another great addition to add an extra dimension to your starters. We then gorged on the Shrimp n Grits and the New York famous Fried Yard Bird - delicious.
