A Classic Chinese Restaurant with a twist
As you walk into the good earth you are taken to that feeling of nostalgia only slightly different. The interior is a nod to the five element theory with the imperial yellow leather walls. This is accented by the framed emblems, and the dark high polished seating. Finally, capped off with a crisp table set. Despite the simple yet eye-catching decor, it is the food that is the centerpiece of this exhibition. The list of classic Chinese dishes are ever present, but the real excitement is in their own signature dishes. These dishes have compelling flavours that will make you ponder adding them to your list of favourites. I had the spicy lamb with Lemongrass on a bed of mushrooms, a dish that has definitely made it to my favourites list. If you're looking for a upmarket Chinese meal that has a comforting yet intriguing menu, The Good Earth is your ideal destination.

The Alfred Guide Tip
Ask for a seat in the conservatory, during the evenings really adds to the experience. Great for small/medium size groups
